An example of how our
customers see
the difference
between Skydive Hawaii and ....
Crews on cruise ships go to many ports of call and see many
different presentations of service.
Their world-wide experiences in
many different tourist locations give the crew an unique perspective on
service.
On the 28th, crew from the Radiance of the Seas cruise ship made tandem
jumps at Skydive Hawaii.
One of the crew was Captain Rune Lokling, who sent the following
note the next day:
Name: rune Lokling

Captain
Radiance Of the seas...
(Do you think that the Captain had a good time? What Captain Lokling did not know
was that the crew who jumped on the 29th had made reservations with our colleagues.)
The Radiance of the Seas left Honolulu Harbor and cruised the Hawaiian Islands.
In Lahaina, Maui, the Radiance of the Seas was docked next to another cruise ship,
Serenade of the Seas. The two crews exchanged experiences, watched the DVDs,
looked at the photos and heard all the stories. The Radiance of the Seas
crew who jumped next door didn't like the unhappy attitudes, sitting under a
hot & noisy tent, inadequate facilities or the long waiting on the ground....
When the Serenade of the Seas arrived in Honolulu on October 5th, over 60 of the crew
(nearly 10% of the total ship's crew) came out to make tandem jumps, and just about every
single one of them purchased the DVD or photos of the experience. All of the crew
from Serenade of the Seas jumped with Skydive Hawaii.
Skydive Hawaii thank the crew of both ships for making tandem skydiving a part of their
stay in Hawaii.
Don't get caught up in all our colleague's marketing antics.
Skydive Hawaii is not perfect, but we:
have by far the most experience, and
keep striving to provide you the best skydiving experience.

Here's a couple of reviews of the other company:
My nightmare experience was the last time I went there sometime in ending of May 2008. I paid to fly someone dear out and I booked a reservation on a saturday at 10am.
Bad idea, I ended up waiting for 6 hrs with a continuing promise that I was soon and to be patient. The first time I jumped I waited only 45 Minutes. This time I waited so
long because skydiving was one of the highlights of the trip and the person was only here for three days. I left at 4:40pm very pissed off. But luckily I was able to salvage the
trip and was able to recover from the unfortunate experience. or else I would have gotten a lawyer.. But I would recommend skydiving regardless I would just be sure not to
go during the summer or weekend..

last
weekend i went skydiving for the first time, it was awesome.
I only wish i would have went with a different company. The
company that I went through was the rudest and most
decieving company i have ever worked with. That company
would be Pacific Skydiving, they are located on the north
shore, close to kaena point. It was an amazing experience
and i hope everybody can get a chance to do it some time in
their life, but when doing it, choose the right company.
There are others, that i have heard raving reviews about,
too bad i didnt hear about them until after i had already
gone. The companies that you should look into are DROP ZONE,
AND SKY DIVE HAWAII, there are others, you just have to look
and ask around, but do not go through Pacific Skydive, the
actual skydivers are cool, and very nice, except for the
fact that when you sign in their log book they remind you
that it would be nice to tip them 15%-20%. The lady in
charge was a witch, if you say that with a "b".
she was very rude and almost made my experience a bad one,
luckily i went skydiving and not anything less memorable.
supposedly if you weigh more than 200 pounds, you get
charged a dollar for every pound over 200 that you weigh.
well that would be alright because i only weigh about 203,
but they weighed me with all of my clothes, shoes, and they
strapped on all of the gear that i was going to be skydiving
with, and they would not let me take the gear or shoes off.
so i ended up weighing 220, which is absurd, if you know me,
i have never in my life weighed more than 205. so i had to
pay an extra $20. So if you are going to go skydiving in
hawaii, choose the right company, because if you choose one
like Pacific Skydiving they will try to take advantage of
you, and some of the workers are rude as hell. and it might
make your experience not as great.

From Haru on Yelp 8/19/2009
To describe this place... dishonest, illegal, sketchy.
It's my bf's b-day. I wanted to surprise him by taking him skydiving.
We're on our way to Pacific Skydiving Center and we get lost around Waialua/Haleiwa area, so
we call... to find out, they've cancelled their skydive for today!! What? Thanks
a lot for not calling and letting us know!! We made reservations for this (Paid
$22 to reserve a spot). You have our phone number dummies!!
But what the hell, we're already close so we find our way over to Pacific Skydiving Center.
The old man comes out and says, "Oh I'm sorry, the wind is too strong today. We haven't had any
accidents *knocks on wood* so we want to keep it that way. Come back tomorrow."
Super discouraged. But we see the Skydive Hawaii making multiple runs and they seem to be coming down fine.
So my bf and I walk over to Skydive Hawaii. Sure enough, they're flying and let us do a walk-in.
Come to find out, Pacific Skydiving Center's so called "new plane" broke down so they cancelled.
SOOOOO BS!!! They could've just told us the truth. LIERS!!!!
Oh, also, it's illegal to fly from 14,000ft because the air is too thin at that level. 13,000 is the legal level.
The other people from the Skydive Hawaii said Pacific Skydiving tried to pick them up at their pick up
locations in Waikiki!! Obviously desperate for customers. I wonder why? You figure it out...
BTW, I still never got my $22 that I paid to reserve my spot. Talk about nickle and diming ppl!! So sketch!!!
